About the Cottage

Primrose Cottage offer guests the following accommodation:-
On the ground floor there is a living room with an open working fire. There is no separate dining room, however a fold up table and chairs are available for use. A delightful bathroom with a bath and hand basin. The bathroom also boasts ample storage space. There is a large country style kitchen which looks out onto the garden. There is a patio area and furniture which is available for guests to use.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms— a double bedroom and a single bedroom with bunk beds. This will sleep a maximum of four. Both bedrooms have large built in cupboards. The stairs up to the bedrooms are slightly steep with a low banister. (Please note the cottage may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or very young children.)
The following services are available for our guests:
· Full gas central heating.
· All gas, electric, bed linen (duvets and pillows) are included.
· Towels and Beach towels are not included.
· There is a TV, DVD player, CD player and a small library containing some interesting books on the local area, as well as a selection of other books, CD’S and DVD’S.
The kitchen is fully functional with a fridge freezer, gas cooker, and microwave.
The garden is enclosed with ample seating for enjoying those nice summer evenings. At the bottom of the garden is a public footpath which takes you on a delightful walk of the local area.
Unfortunately we are unable to cater for pets and the property is a non-smoking area.

Distances of facilities from Primrose Cottage
Within 200 yards of the cottage there are a wide range of shops. These include a card and candy shop, 2 small supermarkets, fish and chip shop, public house, hairdresser and beauty salon and a bistro.
Primrose Cottage is approximately ˝ mile from Wakeham where Portland Castle, Portland Museum and Church Ope Cove can be found. There is also a public house.
˝ mile further on is Easton Square, where more shops are located and there are banks, a chemist, fish and chip shop, hairdressers, 3 public houses, Chinese and Indian takeaways, small supermarkets, café, florist and a library.
Portland Bill is approx 2 miles from Primrose Cottage. There is a public house here which serves daily fresh local seafood and also a café. Back at Yeate’s Corner (1 mile from the Cottage) during the summer months, an outdoor market is held every Tuesday. |
